Happy Doll-O-Ween!

Hi everyone!
Last night my friend Julie hosted the coolest Doll-O-Ween party EVER!!
We all had a blast. Now enjoy my pics from the party!

When I arrived, McKenna was alreay there, and spooky music played in the background.
Festive orange lights were strung on the walls, and little "Boo!" wall stickers
were everywhere.

"Hey Willow! Great costume!" McKenna said.
"So glad you could come!" Julie added.

Julie was dressed as a fairytale princess. Her dress was A-MAZING!!

And McKenna was dressed as a pumpkin! Isn't her costume sooo cute?!

I took a seat at the table and propped my broomstick against the wall.

And just then, a pair of glittery ruby slippers stepped into the room!

It was Dorothy! (Actually, it was Brooke in a Dorothy costume!)

"Oh no!" she said as she sat down next to me.
"It's the Wicked Witch of the West!"

"Haha! Don't worry, today's kind of an off day for me!" I said, and everyone laughed.

After chatting for a few minutes, Brooke and I couldn't wait any longer
to dig into the delicous goodies on the table!

There were lots of candies, like salt water taffy, chocolates, gum balls, and Jolly Ranchers.

And home made pumpkin pie! (My favorite!!)

And what's a fall party without apple cider?!

And then I saw it...a glittery spider dish, filled with Cow Tales!
Have I ever told you how much I love Cow Tales?
They are THE. BEST. CANDY. EVER!!

That Cow Tale was devoured in seconds! Haha!

As we sat around talking, Mia arrived!
She wore her beautiful ice skating dress and skates!

"Sorry I'm late." she said as she sipped a glass of apple cider.

"No biggy," I said, "At least you're here now!"

It was a night to remember.

Back-to-School Hair Solutions

Looking for cute new ways to style your hair for the school year?
Well I've got some unique and pretty looks for you!

Partial Dutch Braid

This braid is super cute,
and is a great alternative for a hairclip pinning your bangs back.
Start with a regular braid, and as you go along, add in strands from the top of your doll's head.
It's just like a french braid, only adding hair from one side to your braid.
It may take a few tries to get the hang of, but it's super cute!

Helpful Headband

A super fast and simple way to style your hair for school is
to slip in a headband to match your outfit.
You might even try being even more creative and tie some cute ribbons or
pin a cloth flower to your headband!
This is perfect for keeping your hair out of your face when you're
hunched over your desk doing schoolwork.

Fancy Fishtail

Fishtail braids are super cute and "in" right now, so try one for yourself!
It looks complicated, but it's actually super simple!
Divide your hair into two even sections and pull in strands from each side,
alternating left and right. Pull them tightly!
Try it a few times until you get the knack.

Brooke's Big Brunch

This is a story shared and told by my friend Brooke...she shared with me these photos too.
Enjoy!

Just before school started, my friend Adele turned 11!
So to celebrate, well...you'll see!
I made Adele and her sister Anna wait in their room while I prepared a surprise.

Surprise! I made a delicous brunch for them with my cooking expertise.

I even baked fresh,  sticky cinnamon rolls!
(They smelled AMAZING, if I do say so myself!)

I served orange juice, pancakes with fresh strawberries and a fruit cup...

Along with crispy toast, eggs, and juicy bacon.

"Oh, wow, Brooke! This all looks and smells incredible!" Adele exclaimed, licking her lips.

"Oh, thank you." I blushed.

"Mm-hmm! You really outdid yourself!" Anna laughed.

After the girls finished their brunch,
Anna and I surprised Adele with birthday presents.

Adele seemed very eager to open them, all wrapped up in glossy paper
and tied with fluffy bows.

The first gift contained a bright blue Hope stone for Adele's garden.

The second, from me, was a pretty pink necklace and turqouise stone ring.

And the third was a new box of cards.

We all had such a great time!

Thanks for sharing this story, Brooke!
Happy birthday, Adele!

Dress Up!

Today my friend Rebecca and I played dress up at Caroline's house!
We acted out the story of Little Red Riding Hood!

"I'm going to go take some muffins and apples to Grandmother!"

Caroline, disguised as the Big Bad Wolf, hid behind a bush.

"Why, hello, Red!"

 "Oh, hello!" Red answered.
"Aren't you going to pick some flowers for your grandmother?" The wolf asked.

"Oh, sure I will!" said Red, deciding that it'd be a nice surprise.

So she skipped over to a cluster of flowers and plucked them.

 They were beautiful!

Red picked them and continued to her Grandmother's cottage.

"Hello, deary!" Grandmother said when Red Riding Hood arrived.
"Oh my! Grandmother, are you well?" Red asked.

"Of course, deary! Come closer so I can see you!"

 "ROAR!"
It was the wolf!

 "AHHHHH!"

Meanwhile, the gardener had been watching from the window and hurried in
swinging a knife, bringing the wolf to the floor.

 And Grandmother was safe again!

 "Oh, Grandmother! You're okay!"

 "I love you, Grandmother."

We had so much fun using our imaginations to tell a story!
